Summary[]
Summer vacation is officially over, and the Rascals are excited to be returning to school on a sunny September morning - until Butch decides to challenge the boys to a game of baseball. Meanwhile, Alfalfa senses something fishy about Maria, a Latina girl who had just moved into Greenpoint and befriended Darla.

- The title "A Not-So Buenos Dias" translates to "A Not-So Good Morning" in English.
- The first of two episodes that Maria appeared in. The other one was "The Zero Hero", which was the series finale.
- Maria may have been added to the series as a recurring character in the wake of the launch of the Ruby-Spears cartoon series Rubik the Amazing Cube during the 1983-84 season, which was the first Saturday-morning cartoon series to feature an entirely Latino cast of characters.
- It is unknown whether Miss Crabtree, who previously appeared in "Darla's Dream Dance", appeared in this episode.
