Big City is the city in which Blue Falcon and Dynomutt fight crime. Scooby-Doo and his friends have visited Big City on a few occasions, in crossover episodes of Dynomutt, Dog Wonder.
"Big City" was later used in the 1982 cartoon series The Little Rascals, in the episode "Beauty Queen for a Day", where Darla Hood enters the "Little Miss Big City Pageant"; and in the title "Big City Rascals" - implying that Big City was originally the hometown of the Rascals before the producers decided to settle on Greenpoint like in the original Our Gang short films. It could be inferred that viewers of The Little Rascals could have easily been confused with the same city used in Dynomutt, Dog Wonder - which may have led to the decision to change the hometown to Greenpoint, just like in the original Our Gang theatrical short films. No segments from the first four weeks of The Little Rascals on ABC were rebroadcast during Season 2, implying that the producers wanted to consistently use Greenpoint as the official city.
