The Canyonians were characters in the Josie and the Pussy Cats in Outer Space episode "The Sleeping Planet."
About the Canyonians[]
As their name clearly indicated, they were an alien race who lived in the canyon of Arcobia. They had greenish skin, purple feet, and, with the exception of their leader, Gorgog, white hair. Gorgog's hair was black, implying that he was the youngest member of the race.
They had rather poor posture, hopped instead of walking, and were in league with Prime Minister Rulo to steal the Robotron, which possessed all the knowledge of the Arcobians in its data banks, and with which the owner could rule the galaxy. This led to an argument between Rulo and Gorgog over who would rule the galaxy. The Canyonians had used their catapult to bombard the unsuspecting Arcobians and the Pussycats with purple sleep dust so that they could steal the Robotron undetected and, along with Rulo, frame the Pussycats for the theft.
They captured the Pussycats after catching them intruding, and discovered their escape when the group tried distracting them with music. The Canyonians gave chase, but Valerie eventually subdued them with their own sleep dust by launching it from the catapult by herself. The Canyonians and Rulo were taken into custody after Valerie and Alan exposed them as the true culprits.
