Captain John Leech is a character in The Adventures of Gulliver.
About the Captain[]
He is the main villain of the series. In the pilot episode, "Dangerous Journey", he stages a series of "accidents" in order to get his hands on the Gullivers' treasure map. He eventually breaks into their stateroom, unaware that Thomas Gulliver stashed the map in Tag's collar for safekeeping, and that Gary Gulliver and Tag had already escaped through the porthole. All hands are swept overboard during a storm, and Gary and Tag seem to be the sole survivors.
In the second episode, "The Valley of Time", it is revealed that Leech survived the shipwreck, and is now on the island still looking for the treasure map.
At the end of the episode "The Capture", his first name is revealed when he says, "That's what you think, Gary Gulliver. You and your little friends ain't seen the last of Captain John Leech."
Leech occasionally worked in league with other villains by promising them their share of the treasure once he had the map.
He was absent from the episodes "Little Man of the Year", "The Runaway", "The Missing Crown" and "Gulliver's Challenge" (aside from a flashback when the Lilliputians tell the Black Knight about the events of "The Capture").
