Carrie Raven is a character from the ABC Weekend Special episode and Halloween special, Monster in My Pocket: The Big Scream. She was voiced by B. J. Ward.

About Carrie[]

Carrie is a slender, Caucasian, pre-teen girl with blue eyes and red hair with piecey bangs, and that's worn in a side ponytail in a turquoise bow. She wears a teal jacket with a pocket on the right flap, a black mini-dress, turquoise socks, and black, and white sneakers with white strings. She is the daughter of the unseen Prof. Raven. She is cheerful, friendly, sweet, loving, helpful, well-meaning, reliable, and loyal.

As Dr. Henry Davenport explains, Big Ed, Wolf Mon, and Mummy are tiny due to a chemical experiment by Vampire. They head to Prof. Raven's house in hopes of receiving help from him so that they can grow back to normal size, but he's not home. Instead, they find his daughter, Carrie, who scoops them up and takes in the monstrous foursome. Dr. Davenport is in the middle of trying to make a formula that will bring him and the others back to their normal sizes. Carrie wants to help, but Dr. Davenport insists on doing it himself, since he doesn't want any interference with their goal. Carrie argues that it's her chemistry set, and Dr. Davenport argues that it's his responsibility to get himself and his comrades back to normal. She goes off to take a seat and read a book, leaving Dr. Davenport to his task. Due to a mishap, the four monsters fall into the chemical and Carrie goes to help them. After they're freed by her and she collects them, the monsters' growth takes effect and they grow back to their normal size. Big Ed asks if she's afraid of them since they're no longer minuscule, but she plays it cool and denies it. When they hear Carrie's maid, Helga, call her name and hear her coming, Carrie tells the monsters to hide, so they hide under a heap of clothes and they become tiny again. Helga comes to the basement to do the laundry while Carrie distracts her. Unbeknownst to Helga, the now miniature monsters are within the various, dirty clothes and thrown into the washer with them. The monsters get caught in the spin cycle of the washer and Carrie frees them again, and they're thrown out of it. Noticing the washer malfunction, Helga scolds Carrie about what she did and says that now she has to start it again. Carrie tells her she just thought she'd help. Believing that Carrie has done enough, she tells her to go elsewhere while she continues doing the laundry. Carrie obliges and carries the monsters away.

When Vampire, Medusa, and Swamp Beast come to Carrie's house, and Medusa fires rays from her eyes to turn Helga into stone, Carrie is upstairs and goes to see just what's happening. Vampire kidnaps her, he and the two, other monsters leave the house. As Vampire flies off with Carrie and totes her, she screams for help, but Vampire just tells her to keep screaming as he loves it and thrives on it. Carrie's newfound friends hear her in distress and after Wolf Mon picks up a scent, he and the other monsters go to her rescue. Carrie is taken to the Mid-City Dump, where she tries to talk the bad monsters out of this scheme and negotiate with them. When she comments about them debating amongst themselves and says there must be some good in them, Medusa insists that she and the others are bad monsters. When Carrie tries to compliment on Medusa's snakes-for-hair and asks if she uses hair conditioner, the snakes on Medusa's head viciously hiss at her, taking offense. Medusa implores Vampire to let her turn Carrie into stone, but Vampire wants to use his magic ring on Carrie instead. Vampire demands that Carrie look into his ring, but she refuses and is resistant. He insists she look at it again, this time more firmly and she does. Then, he uses it on the junkyard dog, Axel, who is under the ring's control. Axel is ordered to keep an eye on Carrie, who's forced to remain in a car while Vampire, Medusa, and Swamp Beast head back to the drive-in theater where they were earlier, so that they can use the scream from the movie's showing to take effect on the good monsters when they come and shrink again. After the good monsters arrive at the dump and they eventually manage to fend off, and defeat, Axel, they come to Carrie's aid. Dr. Davenport tells Carrie they've come to rescue her. She asks he calls this rescuing and manages to free herself. Once Carrie rescues them, Dr. Davenport has second thoughts about Carrie. She asks him if this means he'll let her help him and the others. He relents, just this once. They then head to the drive-in theater.

After they get there, Carrie goes to the projection booth where she finds the projectionist tied up and frees him. He tells her he was tied up by the three bad monsters, who go to an actress named Raye Fay, who was the actress that did the screaming in the movie that was shown. Carrie then goes to Raye Fay's trailer to see her. Raye Fay thinks she must be a fan who wants to watch her performance in the film. Vampire, Medusa, and Swamp Beast get there to watch the movie so when the scene with Raye Fay screaming appears, the three can revert to their normal sizes, which works out as planned. Dr. Davenport, Big Ed, Mummy, and Wolf Mon get there afterwards. Raye Fay thinks it's more fans that have arrived. When Raye Fay opens the door to find Axel barking and going rabid, she asks what his problem is. Carrie explains that the dog is under a spell. A plan is then made to try to fool Axel about who the real vampires. Carrie dons vampire makeup, which was applied by Raye Fay, and Carrie and Vampire go back and forth with each other in trying to convince Axel who the real master is. Axel obeys Carrie and goes to her. Dr. Davenport has the idea of playing the scream in the film in reverse and when this happens, Vampire, Medusa, and Swamp Beast become tiny once again. The film is destroyed in the process, but that doesn't bother Raye Fay so much. When Carrie asks her if the villainous monsters bother her, she tells her that she finds the directors she worked with to be more monstrous than they are.

Back at Carrie's house, the nice monsters are concocting another formula to get them back to normal. But just when it seems they have another mishap, Carrie laughs and the monsters grow back to their usual sizes once again. Dr. Davenport deduces that they have created a new formula and that this formula takes effect through the power of laughter, and this time it was Carrie's laughing that made them grow again. Carrie is elated that she played a part in this. The monsters are shown shrinking once more from her laughter, she gathers them, and gives them an overenthusiastic hug. Big Ed tells her not to squeeze him too tightly, as that's making his bolts come loose.
