Clumsy

Clumsy Smurf (original French name Schtroumpf Bêta or Schtroumpf Maladroit) is one of the main characters of the Smurfs cartoon show. He was voiced by William Callaway.

About Clumsy[]

Most often the companion of Brainy Smurf, Clumsy is the most underestimated out of all the Smurfs. Every time there is a competition of some sorts, Clumsy is not considered to be a good player due to him always dropping or breaking things. Clumsy's catch phrases are "Whoops!", "Golly", "Gosh", and "Gee."

Clumsy can be easily identified by his U.S. Southern accent or how he trips and falls. He is still mostly identified by his loose cap and pants--he is a sloppy Smurf. He's basically everyone's sweetheart Smurf in the village! Clumsy is sensitive, at times, and would even start crying a bit if the other Smurfs don't want him on their team.

As his name implies, he can be described as clumsy and accident prone. An example is in "The Purple Smurfs", when he accidentally lassos himself when attempting to lasso a Purple Smurf.

Clumsy isn't usually shown to be as fast as the other Smurfs. In the intro sequence (the ones where the Smurfs run away from Gargamel), it takes Clumsy longer to get around the words "THE SMURFS".

Clumsy's main interest is collecting rocks. He has boxes full of them in his house. There are some episodes where he is even seen looking for rocks and even claims that he has a lucky rock. He also gave a box of rocks to Nanny during "A House For Nanny". Clumsy also has a fondness for cute animals.
