Clutches of Creature King is the second episode of the six-part Space Ghost Council of Doom story arc. It first aired 9 September 1967 on CBS.
Summary[]
Space Ghost and his allies are able to escape from the giant monster, but Creature King calls on his sulfur-breathing bats to deal with Space Ghost. Although Space Ghost defeats some of them, one renders him unconscious with its sulfur fumes, and brings him to Creature King's arena. Creature King has stolen Space Ghost's power bands, forcing him to fight the monsters without his powers. Blip goes invisible and reclaims the power bands. Jace, trying to hook up the wires in the Phantom Cruiser, does so the wrong way, and accidentally sends Space Ghost and a monster back in time to the prehistoric era. Tor and Tog see that Space Ghost is in trouble, and become Mightor and Tog the dragon to save him. After they defeat the creature, Space Ghost and Mightor introduce themselves to each other, and Space Ghost tells Mightor about a space warp, which he and Tog can't understand. Space Ghost uses his power bands to go back to 1967. Upon his return, the team heads back to the Phantom Cruiser, but Zorak and Moltar set up a phony distress signal, and seem to destroy the Phantom Cruiser with everyone on board.
