William Rockne Tarkington Jr. (May 14, 1932 – April 5, 2015) was an American actor.
Biography[]
Born in Los Angeles, Tarkington guest starred in many TV shows of the 1950s to the 1980s. He also appeared in a number of movies. From 1968 to 1970, he was married to Joan Blackman.
In 1968, he portrayed the castaway Morgan in Danger Island, a live-action serial that was part of The Banana Splits Adventure Hour. Along with his sidekick, Chongo, Morgan met and befriended Professor Hayden, his daughter Leslie, and their friend Linc Simmons, and joined them in their search for the lost city of Tubanya. The five also contended with pirates and unfriendly natives.
