Giganta is one of the two female villains on Challenge of the Superfriends.

Like the heroic Apache Chief, she has the power to grow to many times her natural size.
Giganta was originally a young woman who stole the medicine pouch Apache Chief had used to give himself the power to increase his physical size and gained powers identical to his. She became a member of the Legion of Doom and usually pitted herself against Apache Chief.
Her backstory was changed for the series. In the comics, she was a female gorilla who became a human woman and an adversary of Wonder Woman. It was most likely altered due to the fact that Gorilla Grodd was one of the villains who joined the Legion Of Doom.
