Hanna-Barbera Super TV Heroes is a series of comic books published from 1968 to 1969 by Gold Key Comics.
Each issue contained original stories about Space Ghost, The Herculoids, Moby Dick, Mighty Mightor, Shazzan, Birdman, The Galaxy Trio, and Young Samson and Goliath. Only one story was based on a TV episode, "The Idol of Turaba", which aired on Shazzan. Another featured Medusa, a female villain first appearing in the Birdman episode "The Empress of Evil". Here, she commanded a horde of Yetis. In another story, she used sea creatures at her disposal to rob people on a cruise ship, and then try to blow the vessel up. Luckily, Birdman and Avenger arrived in time to stop her.
The darkest story in the series was a team-up of Birdman and the Galaxy Trio, which pitted them against an alien who made people hate themselves enough to suddenly try to commit suicide. Birdman and Gravity Girl were temporarily affected by this, but were saved just in time, as were other victims.
The series was discontinued before a two-part Space Ghost story about alien races being turned into mutants could be concluded.
