
James Ross Meskimen (born 10 September 1959, Los Angeles) is an American actor and illustrator. He is the son of Marion Ross and Freeman Meskimen. He did supporting voices for Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue! and drew cartoons for the caption contests in Nancy Cartwright's newsletter.

Jim Meskimen is an accomplished actor, improviser and voice artist whose work is well known to TV and film audiences. He appeared in the British series Whose Line Is It Anyway? (1988) several times, and was a recurring actor in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990) for two seasons. He has worked with director Ron Howard in five of his films: The Paper (1994), Apollo 13 (1995), EdTV (1999), How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000), and Frost/Nixon (2008).
As a designer and cartoonist, Meskimen created dozens of characters, weapons, and vehicles for the original ThunderCats animated series. He continues to dazzle audiences with his improvisational skills and appears regularly on L.A. stages. He and his wife, Tamra, have a daughter, Taylor Meskimen.
