Lou Costello in cartoon form
Lou Costello (born Louis Francis Cristillo, 6 March 1906 – 3 March 1959) was an American actor and comedian. He is best known as a member of the Abbott and Costello comedy duo. On Hanna-Barbera's The Abbott and Costello Cartoon Show, he was voiced by Stan Irwin.
Trivia[]
As an amateur boxer in his hometown of Paterson, New Jersey, Costello won 32 straight fights before being knocked out. The loss ended his boxing career.
Costello insisted that the money he and Bud Abbott earned from their comedy act be split 60/40, in Abbott's favor. Costello reasoned, "Comics are a dime a dozen. Good straight men are hard to find."
