Robin Hood is a legendary outlaw of English folklore.

Based in Sherwood Forest, Robin and his Merry Men robbed from the rich and gave to the poor. His followers included Little John, Allan-A-Dale, Friar Tuck, Will Scarlett, and his love interest Maid Marian. They also opposed the rule of Prince John, who usurped the throne from his brother King Richard, as well as the Sheriff of Nottingham. There have been many movie adaptations about Robin, most notably The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) starring Errol Flynn, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991) starring Kevin Costner, a 1973 animated movie from Disney, and the 1993 Mel Brooks spoof Robin Hood: Men in Tights. There were also TV shows about this outlaw.

Hanna-Barbera had many takes on the legend.
