"Space Odd-Essey" was the second segment on the fourth episode of The Gary Coleman Show.
Summary[]
As a result of a string of misunderstandings, Andy is certain that extraterrestrials are currently occupying Oakville, and he is responsible for spreading his fear among the other children. It turns out that the entire situation is actually a film production, and the so-called aliens were actually actors in costume.
Trivia[]
- The call letters of the radio station are WXXZ, implying that Oakville is in the eastern half of the United States. (Call letters in radio stations west of the Mississippi River typically start with K, and those on the east side typically start with W.)
- WXXZ is the former call sign of an actual radio station in Duluth, Minnesota. (Now WFNX-FM, it is licensed to Grand Marais, Minnesota, and currently plays an adult album alternative format.) The nearest Oakvilles to Duluth are in Indiana and Missouri. This implies that Oakville is based on a small town closer to Duluth.
