The Colonel is a character in The Flintstones.
About the Colonel[]
He was a music promoter at Keen Teen Records. He gets hold of the record Fred Flintstone left behind at the amusement park, and asks people to call him about the mystery singer on it. Wilma Flintstone calls him, and he immediately books Fred on a national road tour, promoting him as Hi Fye.
The Colonel also repeatedly mentions a Georgia boy he once managed and promoted. This singer is believed to be a prehistoric version of Elvis Presley, although Presley was born in Tupelo, Mississippi.
The Colonel may have been inspired by Col. Tom Parker, Elvis Presley's manager.
