The Spider Men are characters in The Herculoids.
About the Spider Men[]
They were first seen in the episode "The Spider Men". They rode on large ants like horses, and entered the Herculoids' territory for a raid. They captured Dorno, who was then rescued by Zandor. But then, the Spider Men fired their web guns, pinning Zandor and Dorno to the side of a mountain, and Tundro to the entrance to a canyon. Zok freed them all with his lasers.
Zandor and the Herculoids then launched a full-scale attack against the Spider Men, defeating them, and driving them off. Zandor decided that he'd enter their territory to get them to stop their raids. He also gave Tundro permission to come with him.
The Spider Men returned in the episode "The Antidote".
When Zandor was stung by a deadly venom spider, Tara sent Dorno and the Herculoids to get an antidote from the Spider Men. It was revealed that their home base was the endless caves. However, they were completely unwilling to let the Herculoids take it, and imprisoned Dorno. The Herculoids freed him, and after a lengthy struggle, they finally got the antidote and saved Zandor's life.
In their first appearance, the Spider Men spoke only in unintelligible gibberish. In "The Antidote", they were able to speak English like everyone else on Amzot.
