Throg is a character in Josie and the Pussy Cats in Outer Space.
About Throg[]
He is the ruler of Kalex, a planet whose inhabitants resemble frogs. After his henchmen capture the Pussycats, he reveals his plan to invade Earth by bombarding it with asteroids from a machine. He also decided to keep Sebastian as a pet, have Melody Valentine act as his personal servant, and put the rest of the group in a zoo. However, after recapturing them when they try to escape, he changes his mind, and keeps them close by. When Melody entertains him by playing a lute, he complains that her after-dinner music gives him indigestion.
Later, after finding out about Throg's circus, the group decides to perform as Josie and the Pussycats Plus Three. When a henchman asks Throg what he thinks of their music, he replies, "Well, it is loud. I'll say that much for it." The plan works, and they all escape. Throg's plans to take over Earth are foiled when the Pussycats destroy the machine.
Trivia[]
The name Throg was later used for the race of frog-like aliens in The ABC Saturday Superstar Movie episode "Lost in Space".
