Tony Jay (2 February 1933 – 13 August 2006) was an English actor. His roles for Hanna-Barbera include:
- Caiaphas in The Greatest Adventure: Stories from the Bible
- Buffalo Chief in the Super Secret Secret Squirrel segment of 2 Stupid Dogs
- The Lord of the Amulet in Scooby-Doo! in Arabian Nights
- Lickboot in Tom and Jerry: The Movie
Biography[]
Tony Jay was born in London, but was a citizen of the United States until his death. He was an accomplished Broadway actor and poet who secured villainous roles due to his baritone voice. During production of ReBoot, Jay recorded all of his dialog in Los Angeles, so the other voice actors never got to meet him at the studio.
